Hand Sanitizer

No hand sanitizer on the U.S. market is permitted by current FDA guidelines to indicate to prevent Swine Flu or any other diseases even if labs test proven. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one of the best ways you can help protect yourself from Swine Flu is by regularly practicing good hand hygiene. Influenza may spread via contaminated hands or inanimate objects that become contaminated with influenza viruses. CDC recommends that students and staff be encouraged to wash their hands often with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing. Alcohol-based hand cleaners can briefly be effective at killing flu germs, but may not be allowed in schools, universities, or any other organization that has determined that the dangers outweigh the effectiveness. According to the CDC, when soap and water are not available, and alcohol-based products are not allowed in the organization, hand sanitizers such as GERM FREE 24 that do not contain 60% or more alcohol may be used to supplement good hygiene practices. GERM FREE 24’s unique persistent ability has been proven to effectively disable and/or kill germs including viruses, bacteria, fungi, and mold for up to 24 hours. How do most infectious diseases commonly spread? According to the International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene (IFH), the hands are one of the most frequent transmission routes for many types of infections as they come into direct contact with portals of entry for pathogens (mouth, nose, conjunctiva of the eyes). Practicing proper hand hygiene is the easiest way to help reduce infections. Another way that some infections can spread is through the air, making it important to cover your mouth with a tissue when you sneeze.
What is the proper way to practice good hand hygiene?
Regularly use soap and water, especially when hands are visibly dirty. Wash hands with soap and water for 15 to 20 seconds or longer. When soap and water are not available, using a non alcohol-based hand sanitizer can supplement good hand hygiene. Once daily, apply enough GERM FREE 24 Hand Sanitizer and Protectant to thoroughly wet hands, then rub hands together briskly until dry. Continue regular hand washings after application when soap and water are available. The film from GERM FREE 24 will not wash off and has increased effectiveness when coupled with good hand hygiene practices. Real world conditions prevent any protection from being perfect, but we would like the opportunity to provide the public with the best supplement to good hand washing practices. Will Germ Free 24 wash off?
On application to the hands, an antimicrobial, polymeric film is formed which is substantive and will remain through up to ten hand washings. The AMOSILQ film formed on application of GERM FREE 24 retains its broad spectrum antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal activity for up to 24 hours. The film remains bonded with the skin until the protected skin cells are exfoliated and shed per the body’s normal skin cell replacement cycle. (about 60 hours) GERM FREE 24 will not transfer from hands to food or other objects once the product is fully dried on the skin’s surface. GERM FREE 24 is safe and gentle for use on children’s hands when adult supervised during application until the product has dried. Avoid contact with eyes or ingestion of the liquid form of product.
Is GERM FREE 24 as toxic as alcohol based hand sanitizers? In 2007 a report from the US Association of Poison Control Centers, found that in 2006 alone, alcoholbased hand sanitizers were the cause of 12,000 cases of alcohol poisoning in children. GERM FREE 24 has a significantly lower toxicity value than ethyl alcohol based product that have been responsible for incidents of alcohol poisoning. Is GERM FREE 24 flammable like other products? GERM FREE 24 is non flammable making it much safer to store and use than alcohol based hand sanitizers. Does GERM FREE 24 dry out hands like the other hand sanitizers? GERM FREE 24 is soft to the skin and improves the skin’s moisture balance while enforcing the skin’s natural protection. It is proven to consist of antimicrobial chemistry with the protective moisturizing capabilities of silicones that control the skin moisture balance and to combat skin dehydration. GERM FREE 24 imparts an invisible protective layer that leaves hands feeling healthy and silky. How does GERM FREE 24 Hand Sanitizer and Protectant work? Germs, also called microbes or micro-organisms, are living cells that are too small to be seen with the naked eye. Some germs, such as bacteria, fungi (mold) and viruses, can cause illness or disease. In order to kill germs, most conventional disinfectants have to get inside the organism. A chemical agent will act like a poison, interrupting a key metabolic, or life sustaining process of the cell, causing the microorganism to die. Most conventional antimicrobial products are consumed or use up their ability to affect the microorganisms during this process. They stop working.

GERM FREE 24 is very different from other disinfecting products, such as hand sanitizers. The AMOSILQ coating contains a microscopic bed of tiny spikes. These spikes are long, pointed chains of molecules that are big enough to pierce the cell walls of various germs causing them to die. Additionally, these chains of atoms carry a strong positive charge that attracts negatively charged microorganisms. The spikes are too small to be harmful to the cells of people or animals, but are deadly to germs. Microbes are electrostatically attracted to GERM FREE 24′s spiked surface. The GERM FREE 24 molecules destroy the microbes by penetrating the cells walls. Is GERM FREE 24 an FDA approved hand sanitizer? To our knowledge, at this time the FDA has still not approved any hand sanitizer for the U.S. market. GERM FREE 24 is manufactured at an FDA registered site following required GMP practices. The CDC recognizes that many schools and universities nationwide have disregarded the CDC’s outdated position promoting alcohol gels. There are a rising number of organizations that have systematically banned the alcohol based products after determining that the dangers of alcohol based products outweigh the effectiveness.
